Who we are looking for

For our new location in Hamburg, we are looking for IT-savvy and technology-open creative new minds to work in the "Mobility Management & Infrastructure" team - together with the teams at the other locations - on all areas of digitalisation in the public mobility sector with a focus on IT project management & mobility infrastructure for our current and future customers.

Main tasks

The project engineer at BLIC is partly responsible for a wide range of digitalisation projects in the public transport sector with a focus on technical project management and infrastructure development.

This may include tasks in the area of project management of communication technology (radio, WAN, etc.), control technology (monitoring, management), sales technology (ticketing), software architecture, vehicle technology, physical infrastructures, data standardisation, databases, process management, resource planning, quality assurance and documentation for the improvement of local and long-distance public transport.

This requires a high degree of openness to technological possibilities and user-centred requirements. For us, the users are the passengers.

Your tasks

• Analysing IT systems, processes and data in public transport
• Conception/planning of IT systems in public transport
• Creation of requirements catalogues, specifications and accompanying technical documents
• Support with procurement and EU tender monitoring and evaluation
• Sub-project management
• Technical implementation support for IT systems in public transport
• Accompaniment of acceptance tests/inspections of IT systems
• Documentation

Your profile

• Preferably an academic education in the field of IT or engineering with a good university degree and/or very good professional experience in the implementation and application of IT solutions in public transport.
• High customer orientation and self-confident demeanour
• Good written and spoken German and English
• An affinity for mobility, public transport and IT technology for technology by people for people
• Good analytical skills
• Willingness to innovate and make decisions
• Strong communication & team spirit
