Study on the use of alternative drive systems in bus transport in the city of Pforzheim
Project description
In preparation for the new invitation to tender for transport services in Pforzheim, BLIC and its partner TTK carried out a comprehensive investigation into the conversion to alternative drive solutions. In addition to scheduled services, the depot and the necessary supply infrastructure were also included.
Service description
Determination of a suitable drive concept (battery-electric, hydrogen or overhead line)
Examination of the possibilities of sufficient energy supply for the depot.
Determination of necessary infrastructure measures at the depot with parking space, charging and refueling facilities and workshop.
Recommendation as to whether the city of Pforzheim should provide the necessary infrastructure on a non-competitive basis or whether this should be done by the providers (transport companies).
Presentation of additional transport services that are maximally possible with the identified measures.
Planning and financial evaluation of necessary measures (including possible federal or state subsidies).
